
Born in 1957, John McCormack is a recognized Rural Development, agriculture, agribusiness, livestock professional with over 20 years of wide ranging experience in the design, management and implementation of agricultural and rural development programs and projects, their assessment, monitoring and evaluation.
He is a graduate of leading European & USA Universities, with qualifications in Animal production and health from one of the leading Universities in Europe, The Center for Tropical Veterinary Medicine (CTVM) at Edinburgh University and a graduate of University College Dublin (agriculture) and University College Galway (Science) in Ireland. He also holds certificate from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, USA.
He has worked extensively for a number of Bilateral and Multilateral aid programs, among them EU funded projects, USAID funded projects, Bilateral aid programs (Irish Aid, DFID, KfW) World Bank/FAO, the NGO and private sector. John McCormack has worked in complex, multicultural and multidiscipline projects to identify market opportunities, rural development strategies and adapt producer organizations to meet the needs of the market place. He has also extensive experience in consulting local grass roots producer organizations, farmers, local municipalities, and regional and national government authorities, Institutions and departments to the highest Ministerial levels. John McCormak realised agriculture projects in the Balkans, South East Europe, USA, CIS and Africa.
